The last week we informed you guys about the agreement between EA and Disney to stream the eSports matches related to Madden NFL 18. But now we have learned that this will be in fact happening and not also Disney will have the rights to stream the matches, but also ESPN.

The collaboration, described by the four parties as the first multi-event long-term competitive games agreement, comes at a time of high interest in the so-called eSports or electronic sports, videogame tournaments for professionals and amateurs with large audiences and awards in metal.
The broadcasts began on January 26 and will last until the end of the championship, in early May.
Last year ESPN and EA collaborated on a project to televise tournaments based on the popular football title of the latter company, FIFA. The Disney-owned television network has expanded coverage to other eSports tournaments based on other video games.
Activision Blizzard, EA’s rival and the world’s largest video game publisher, has also made a strong commitment to eSports, and last year sparked interest around its fantasy «shooter» Overwatch.
